A New Spatial Algebra for Road Network Moving Objects
نویسندگان
چکیده
Qualitative representing and reasoning for road network moving objects are key works to put spatiotemporal reasoning into practices, but those are still open problems. We propose a new spatial algebra for road network moving objects based on Interval Algebra theory. Renz had developed an algebra DIA to represent one dimensional moving objects by giving time interval a spatial interpretation. Extending DIA to road network, we propose RNDIA. We give an algebra formalization for RNDIA which is compatible to DIA. Then the reasoning problems such as RSAT are primarily discussed. Our work proposes an executable qualitative representation and reasoning method of road network moving objects.

متن کاملUpdate-efficient Indexing of Moving Objects in Road Networks
Recent advances in wireless sensor networks and positioning technologies have boosted new applications that manage moving objects. In such applications, a dynamic index is often built to expedite evaluation of spatial queries. However, development of efficient indexes is a challenge due to frequent object movement. In this paper, we propose a new update-efficient index method for moving objects...
متن کاملThe SSP-Tree: A Method for Distributed Processing of Range Monitoring Queries in Road Networks
This paper addresses the problem of processing range monitoring queries, each of which continuously retrieves moving objects that are currently located within a given query range. In particular, this paper focuses on processing range monitoring queries in the road network, where movements of the objects are constrained by a predefined set of paths. One of the most important challenges of proces...
متن کاملThe TM-RTree: an index on generic moving objects for range queries
Existing works on moving objects mainly focus on a single environment such as free space and road network, and do not investigate the complete trip for humans who can pass several environments, e.g., road network, pavement areas, indoor. In this paper, we consider multiple environments and study moving objects with different transportation modes, also called generic moving objects. We aim to an...
متن کاملClustering Moving Objects in Spatial Networks
Advances in wireless networks and positioning technologies (e.g., GPS) have enabled new data management applications that monitor moving objects. In such new applications, realtime data analysis such as clustering analysis is becoming one of the most important requirements. In this paper, we present the problem of clustering moving objects in spatial networks and propose a unified framework to ...
